Seth joined the Outlaw family as Video Director in March of 2021. He spent the previous 5 years living in Boise, Idaho where he ran his documentary film production company called Big Cedar Media. Seth enjoys watching the creative process of filmmaking unfold, from the conception of an idea, to shooting and editing the story, into sharing the final film with people in film festivals.
Originally from Great Falls, Montana, Seth studied photography at Montana State University and transferred to the University of Montana where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
Seth served 7 years in the Montana Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq with the 1-163rd Infantry. After coming back in 2005 he found a river job guiding on the Middle Fork of the Salmon and still works there to this day driving the Sweep Boat, flyfish guiding, and shooting video for Boundary Expeditions.
With his free time Seth can be found kayaking, fly fishing, hunting, and floating his raft on a river somewhere.
