Jason is a West Virginia native who joined the Outlaw Partners in September 2022. He’s called Montana home since 2011.

Jason attended Washington & Lee University, where he studied journalism, biology and played football for four years. After graduating he did a post-grad internship with the Seattle Times before launching a journalism career with the Anniston (Ala.) Star that has led him across the country following stories and adventure. In the time since, Jason earned a Master’s of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction from the University of Montana, wrote for Outside and Powder magazines, and worked locally for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle and Livingston Enterprise.

Outside of the working world, you’re most likely to find Jason out on the trails either on a bike or skis.
