Jack joined Outlaw’s editorial staff in September 2022, with a passion for reporting, writing, multimedia storytelling, and building a strong community. He has held the roles of Staff Writer and Associate Editor since joining Outlaw.

He previously has reported for the Newark Advocate, a newspaper based in central Ohio where he studied at Denison University from 2017 to 2022, majoring in Economics and Creative Writing. At Denison, he contributed to the student newspaper and had his work published in The Reporting Project, a nonprofit local news effort managed by the university’s journalism department. After graduating, he found Outlaw to be an exciting opportunity to launch his writing career.

Jack grew up on the seacoast of New Hampshire, playing baseball, running and skiing in the White Mountains. He can be found repeating those behaviors in Big Sky and the Gallatin Valley.
