Retail Business Development Manager

Addison joined the Outlaws in the spring of 2023. He was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina but has called Big Sky home since 2019.

Addison began his outdoor industry career in 2013 when he moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. He made the cross-country trek to work under his mentors, Jay Johnson and Matt Schiske, on multiple fly fishing film projects. This experience opened up the world of guiding for Addison, and for the next three years, he worked as a full-time guide in Wyoming and Alaska. Afterward, he returned to North Carolina to take over the management of Performance Bike, which fueled his passion for retail and business development. Five years later, he and two other partners opened their own bike shop with the mission of providing local support to the Charlotte neighborhoods where Addison grew up.

In the summer of 2019, Addison moved to Big Sky, Montana to assume the position of General Manager at Grizzly Outfitters, where he had the opportunity to work with his two biggest role models, Ken Lancey and Andrew Schreiner. After the acquisition of Grizzly Outfitters by Christy Sports, Addison realized it was time to dive into his local community and become an Outlaw.

As the Outlaws’ Retail Business Development Manager, Addison is responsible for cultivating relationships and exploring retail opportunities with partner brands. His favorite brand to work with is Hey Bear, which allows him to collaborate with the retail queen, Conner Clemens.

When Addison is not working, you can find him mountain biking at Big Sky Resort, enjoying the serenity of the Gallatin River (although not necessarily catching fish), and tending to his BBQ pit as he smokes whole hogs. All the while, he indulges in the sounds of Sturgill Simpson on repeat and stays well-hydrated with PBR.
